How To Reset User Id And Password On A Company That Is Locked

I need help resetting my user ID and password on a company that was locked. I just loaded an update for 2020

Each user’s password is unique to the firm. Changing the password in one business does not affect the passwords in all of the other organizations to which the person has access. If the person has access to many firms, the password must be reset in each.

 

  1. Log in as the administrator to your Sage 50 business and refer to Article ID 10130: Forgotten your password, or your user name and/or password is no longer valid?
  2. Choose Maintain, Users, and then Set Up Security.
  3. Please keep in mind that this is a single-user job; all other users must leave the organization before you may change user passwords.
  4. Choose the appropriate user from the list.
  5. Click the Reset Password button.
  6. In both areas, enter a temporary password for the user.
  1. Click the OK button.
  2.   Fill a new password in Create a new password and confirm it.
  3. Click the OK button.
  4. Check that the firm has successfully opened.
