Resolution Of A Required Data File On Sage 50 2019
I can’t open my program. Message I have been getting “a required data file is missing” sage 50 2019
Several factors have been identified:
The data folder (.SAJ) and the icon file (.SAI) are both missing.
The data folder (.SAJ) and the icon file (.SAI) do not have the same name.
The firm file has been transferred to a shared folder on a different computer or server.
Data from the company has been transferred to a new computer.
The data file is being shared across two or more computers, and the data file’s version/release differs from the software on the computer attempting to open it.
Sage 50 gets confused while restoring the backup since the business file (SAI file and SAJ folder) is saved inside a SAJ folder.
Another Sage 50 software, or another process or program on the computer, has already opened the business file.
The SAJ folder contains certain hidden files and directories.
For Windows users, certain of the files or folders in the SAJ folder have restricted rights.
Attempting to manually access a business from inside a backup file after using a file compression application to open the backup file, e.g. (WinRAR, WinZip,7Zip)
There isn’t a current version of Sage 50 20xx installed.
Multi-user has never been built or utilized.
The server connection has been lost.
The files in the SAJ folder were renamed by ransomware.
It’s possible that the backup wasn’t done correctly.
The auto.cnf and syncstate files are the sole files in the Sage Drive corporate SAJ folder. There are several files that are missing.
The file name contains a pound symbol (#) or a strange character.
