I am getting “Connection manager is not running where you store your data” error message and not able to access my company data.

If you have the Sage 50 Connection Manager installed in your system and is not responding, here are some methods to fix this issue. Please implement the step-by-step process as shown below-

Method 1: By using the Connection manager icon in the System Tray

  • Log into your system as an administrator
  • Go to the system tray and double-click on the Sage Connection manager icon
  • If the status is shown as Running: No, click Start Service
  • If the status is shown as Running: Yes, click Stop Service
  • Then click on Start Service
  • Check if the issue is solved

Method 2: If the Data File is contained My Documents

  • Go to C Drive and create a new folder
  • Now move the data file to this newly created folder
  • If all the computers in the network share the same file, you must get a new network path location for the folder just created
  • Now use this new folder and open the data file
